Hi! I'm Hillary Jollimore and I want to invite you to join me on the journey of a lifetime! How would you like to live a life free of unnecessary stress and anger? Well, if that sounds like you, than you're in the right place. Here we are in 2008. How's your ride here been? Mine's been wild and great at the same time. Just like you, I've made mistakes along the way, but I have to say, I value all I've learned from them. Are there some things I would love to go back and change? Yes. Can I do that? No. I've found that accepting what cannot change is the key.
"God, give us grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, courage to change the things that should be changed, and the wisdom to distinguish the one from the other."
This is a very simple, yet well known prayer, attributed to the early 20th century theologian Reinhold Niebuhr. It has been used, most notably, by 12 step groups. I'm pretty sure, it's been underused by the general population.
So, I'm on a mission. I'm on a mission to spread serenity to others. I'm on a mission to teach people that being rational and kind are stronger character traits than being aggressive and angry.
So, once again, I invite you to join me on this journey. You can learn some simple, and yet life altering ways to change your perceptions. You can take yourself out of the rat race and make it a walk in the park. That's what I've done and that's what my students are doing as well.
